SPRINGFIELD, Va. — A Woodbridge man was killed when he apparently lost control of his car.
Police in Springfield were called to the area of Leesville Boulevard and Hinton Street at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday after a 1998 Ford Explorer ran off the side of the road, struck a fire hydrant, and rolled over. Paul Wickwire, 24, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, according to Fairfax County police.
Detectives continue to investigate the cause of the crash and they believe speed may have been a factor.
