It’s just after 3 p.m. and crews are still working to put the finishing touches on the dinner tables, where those in attendance tonight will dine on a steak dinner.

Waiting for the participants is a booklet filled with information about the programs and work that is done here at the clubs, and a bottle of water to quench their thirst.

Hosting the program tonight will be Prince William County Potomac District School Board Representative Betty Covington, who also brought her humor to last year’s Steak ‘N’ Stake and got lots of laughs.

Doors are expected to open to the public at 6 p.m. to a silent auction, where attendees can see children Boys and Girls Club members interviewing other club members about their successes. PotomacLocal.com is shooting video of those interviews and will have them posted on our site following the event.
