Second Burglary Suspect Arrested

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A second man is in custody in connection a burglary that prompted a SWAT team into action last month.

U.S. Marshalls arrested Daniel James Gilliam, 18, of 14718 Birchdale Drive in Dale City. They found him March 5 at a home on Caroline Street in Woodbridge and he was taken in without incident, according to Prince William police documents.

Gilliam is suspected to be one half of the team who burglarized a home on Ladino Court on Feb. 27 . Once police learned guns were inside the home being burglarized, a SWAT team surrounded the house and convinced 18-year-old Brandon Delonte Braxton to come out of the house.

Braxton did and was later taken to a Manassas jail where this week officers found one of the guns believed to have been inside the home during the burglary lodged inside his rectum.

However, Gilliam fled the scene as the SWAT team surrounded the house, sending police on a weeklong search for the suspect.

Gilliam is charged with burglary and grand larceny of a firearm. He was held without bond.
