Woodbridge, Va. — Singers from Purdue University will make a stop in the Potomac Communities later this month.
The university’s Glee Club will perform at John Paul the Great Catholic High School’s auditorium at 7 p.m. Wednesday March 14. The school is on 17700 Dominican Drive off River Heritage Drive on Prince William’s Cherry Hill Peninsula near Dumfries.
“The Glee Club’s broad repertoire allows us to custom-fit performances for a variety of audiences,” said Purdue Glee Club Director William Griffel. “Audiences can expect to hear anything from classical to contemporary, gospel to show tunes.”
The group dates back 115 years and in 2008 toured South Africa on a two-week performance circuit. They’ve also sung at presidential inaugurations, as well as sung at Crystal Cathedral in California and at New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
Admission to the concert is $15 for adults and $5 for students age 18 and younger. Tickets can be purchased by calling 703-730-9954. Tickets will be available the night of the show if not sold out.
Purdue University’s main campus is located in West Lafayette, Ind. The school was founded in 1869.
