Quantico, Va. — There are plans to close the brig at Quantico Marine Corps Base by the end of the year, according to the Associated Press.
The facility became infamously known for housing Pfc. Bradley Manning, who is suspected of leaking U.S. military secrets which later appeared on the web.
After months of protests outside the Marine Base, Manning was moved to Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.
