The Americans in Wartime Museum is planning a Groundbreaking Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26.  The community is invited to this innagural event of the museum, which will be housed on 70 acres near the intersection of Dale Boulevard and I-95 in Woodbridge.   The Museum will “tell the story of Americans in wartime from World War I through the present, using indoor and outdoor Landscapes of War plus an exceptional collection of working military vehicles to provide an interactive experience” according to a press release issued Thursday.

Speakers will include Chairman Corey Stewart, Supervisor John D. Jenkins, and Museum Board Chairman Allan Cors.  Also, a working Sherman M4A3 tank will be put into service during the ceremony.  Parking for those wishing to attend the event will be available at the El Charro Mexican Restaurant which is near the K-Mart in Dale City.
