MedEvac Lifts Victim After Crash

A motorcyclist was flown to an area hospital after he rear-ended a tractor trailer on Interstate 95.

Police and rescue crews were called to the area of I-95 and Joplin Road (Va. 619) in Triangle about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver of one motorcycle rear-ended a tractor trailer, but then a second motorcyclist hit the motorcyclist that slammed into the truck, said Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.

The first biker was flown to a hospital with serious injuries while the second biker was treated for minor injuries, according to Geller.

At least one person has been flown to the hospital following a crash on Interstate 95.

The crash happened about 8 p.m. at Joplin Road (Va. 619), according to a Prince William County emergency spokesman.

There’s no word yet on how many cars were involved in the crash or how many were injured.

The crash comes after four females died earlier this morning when a bus overturned near Kings Dominion.

Four women died in that crash, and several others were taken to at 11 other hospitals between Richmond and Fredericksburg.

The driver of the bus is charged with reckless driving, according to police.
