Dumfries, Va. –– A former pastor is in trouble with the law again just weeks after being sentenced as a sex offender.
Police say 33-year-old Jason Roy Bolton stalked a 17-year-old girl at her work on Prince William Parkway and again at her home.
Police were called on Friday to investigate her claims, and afterward obtained arrest warrants for Bolton’s arrest.
He is now charged with stalking, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
Bolton lives in the 4800 block of Benicia Lane in Dumfries, and was sentenced Jan. 28 to probation after he admitted in October 2010 to having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl while he was a pastor at a Baptist church in Woodbridge.
Bolton since has resigned from the church and now appears on the Virginia Sex Offender Registry.
