The National Weather Service has once again issued a tornado watch for the Potomac Communities, this time effective until 8 p.m.
A slow-moving cold front is still making its way across the region, bringing with it warm and muggy temperatures, showers and the possibility of strong storms, according to TBD.com’s weather department.
The latest tornado watch comes after the weather service issued a similar watch last night.
It was allowed to quietly expire at 3 a.m. Wednesday.
The weather system moving through the region now brought high winds, rain and stormy conditions to portions of the mid-west this week.
Temperatures are expected to remain warm through tomorrow, but then cooler air will move in overhead, with temperature reading expected to be in the 60s on Friday.
