The Prince William County Transportation Department will host a town-hall meeting in Manassas Park on a $300 million bypass about four miles long and wedged between the Fairmont and Loch Lomond neighborhoods in Sudley, near Manassas.
The department calls it a public information meeting to be held on Thursday, April 20, at Manassas Park Community Center, 99 Adams Street, Manassas Park, both beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Fredericksburg Regional Transit’s Rebranding Event for FXBGO! will be held on Tuesday, April 18, at 11:30 a.m.
The buses have been known as “FRED Transit.” A rebranding event will be held at Central Station, 1400 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg (Route 1).

(The Center Square) – Maryland is advancing discussions on potential plans to expand MARC commuter rail service into Delaware and Virginia – a move officials hope will expand access for transit riders across state lines.
The Maryland Department of Transportation has signed framework agreements with the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority and Delaware Transit Corp. for potential MARC Train Service expansions, Gov. Wes Moore announced Thursday. The possible future expansions could extend MARC service to Newark, Delaware, and to Alexandria, Virginia.

A tractor-trailer crash snarled traffic on Interstate 95 north at milepost 133 in Stafford County, at the Rappahannock River.
The crash occurred just before 7 a.m., blocking four lanes. A four-mile delay quickly mounted.

Police said the driver was involved in an argument with the 33-year-old woman who, along with the 5-year-old, were passengers inside his car. The driver intentionally drove into oncoming traffic and struck an oncoming car, police said.
The 33-year-old woman and child died at a hospital, while doctors treated the 46-year-old woman at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
