PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Officials are reviewing a project that would add a 4th travel lane on Interstate 95 south in Prince William County.
The lane would run from Route 123 to Prince William County and push back a bottleneck on the highway drivers face as the cross the Occoquan River, where the highway’s regular travel lanes reduce from eight to six.

WOODBRIDGE — The search for the site of a new $37 million parking garage officially begins.
The Prince William County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday authorized county Transportation Director Rick Canizales to use nearly $300,000 for a study that will determine the best site for the commuter garage.

WOODBRIDGE — It’s the second phase of a much talked about project: a new interchange at Routes 1 and 123.
For years, this road improvement has been viewed as a catalyst for redevelopment in “North” Woodbridge. The overpass would remove a traffic light notorious for stalling traffic at the congested intersection of the two major thoroughfares Routes 1 and 123, and would provide direct access to more than 1 million square feet of commercially-zoned land in Belmont Bay along the Occoquan River.
Police in Washington, D.C. today released the incident report written after a man did a “Superman dive” under an OmniRide bus on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018.

It’s a project the county is moving ahead with after winning federal funds to construct the garage. It just needs to find a spot to build it.
If you’re planning to drive at night on I-66, here’s what you need to know. VDOT brings us this update.
FAIRFAX– Single lane closures will continue on eastbound I-66 inside the Beltway during overnight hours (weather permitting) through the end of March from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. The closures will occur between I-495 and Fairfax Drive (Route 237) to allow crews to safely perform survey and geotechnical investigation work related to the I-66 eastbound widening project. Additionally, intermittent shoulder closures are planned (weather permitting) from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes.
MANASSAS — The green light is lit for $128 million in improvements the Virginia Railway Express Manassas line.
Three stations — Manassas Park, Manassas, and the Broad Run terminus station — are all set to receive overhauls on everything from parking lots to pedestrian platforms.
