WOODBRIDGE, Va. — It’s a standing-room only crowd as at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium as President Barack Obama comes to Woodbridge to make his case for another four years in the White House.

The stadium that sits behind the Prince William County Government Center holds 6,000 people and each seat in the house is full. So full, in fact, many onlookers have been moved onto the ball field where they hope to catch a glimpse of the president.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – The national spotlight will be cast Friday onto the place many Prince William County Government do business. An email distributed to them, and obtained by PotomacLocal.com, states what county employees should expect when President Barack Obama comes to Richard G. Pfitzner Stadium to stump for his campaign.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Signs warning of potential traffic delays are posted near the Prince William County Government Center in Woodbridge.

They’re there to warn drivers to expect delays Friday as President Barack Obama and his motorcade descends onto on Richard G. Pfitzner Stadium – home of the Potomac Nationals minor league baseball team – for a political campaign rally.

WOODBRIGDE, Va. – It’s true that the good Dr. Benjamin Franklin favored the turkey over the Bald Eagle as the national bird for the United States. But the residents of Dawson Landing, where the American Bald Eagle soars, are glad he didn’t get his choice of national bird.

The Court Appointed Special Advocates of Prince William and Fauquier cpunties, better known as CASA, decked out the Harris Pavilion in Old Town Manassas on Sept. 8 for their “Evening Under the Stars” fundraising gala. The black-tie event is their largest fundraiser normally nets the organization at least $120,000, and is attended by 1,000 people.

The first guest to this year’s event was Mother Nature, who brought unwanted wind and rain which destroyed tents, tables, and prompted the overall cancelation of the event.

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center has partnered with the Prince William Courage Soccer Club and the Prince William County public school to launch a new afterschool program that will focus on fitness, understanding health, and nutrition. The program has been dubbed the Prince William Courage “F.U.N.” Project, and it marks it’s debut on Tuesday.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Neighbors gathered to remember a woman who was tragically shot and killed by her husband two years ago. Afterward, her husband took his own life.

Area residents filled the track at Prince William County’s Freedom High School in Woodbridge on Saturday to remember the life of Jenny Vaughn Bates at the “No Woman, No Cry 5K Walk.”
