Finding a landlord with a property is the hardest part about helping homeless locate rapid rehousing
Realtors got an education Thursday about Prince William County’s Rapid Rehousing program.
The program’s goal is to find landlords with properties for rent and to move homeless families into them. The training provided at the county’s first Landlord Summit comes as nearly 40 homeless people will be forced off land behind Bungalow Alehouse in Woodbridge following a no trespassing order issued by the landowner, a Prince William County spokesman said last month.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation– On October 4 at 8:52AM, officers responded to the Prince William Community Health Center located at 4379 Ridgewood Center Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that as a patient at the practice was being escorted to a treatment area, he walked by a dentist working on another patient.
A Woodbridge man is wanted after a grand jury indicted him on two counts of fraud after a seven-month investigation in two states.
A woman on February 2 called the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office to report someone had fraudulently withdrawn more than $7,000 from her Bank of America account in two transactions, said Stafford sheriff’s spokeswoman MC Moncure.

Armed Robbery – On September 28 at 10:15PM, officers responded to the 14300 block of Crossing Pl in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 19-year-old woman of California, reported to police that she met an unknown man in Washington, D.C., then traveled back to the above area with him. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect took the victim’s cell phones, money, and purse then fled in a black vehicle. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

On Tuesday, August 23rd at 3:17 p.m., a Prince William County Fire Marshal was investigating a citizen’s complaint reporting a suspicious device [at a home in the 1500 block of Arum Place in Woodbridge]. Upon discovering the device, additional fire and rescue resources were requested. The County Police also provided on-scene assistance.

Armed Robberies – On August 7, officers and detectives with the Robbery Unit responded to investigate three separate robberies which occurred between 12:37AM and 2:06AM at 7-Eleven stores located at 14820 Cloverdale Dr, 15052 Cardinal Dr, and 1701 Featherstone Rd in the Woodbridge area. In each incident, employees reported to police that two unknown men entered the store brandishing a firearm and a silver bat. During the encounter, the suspects demanded money and cigarettes before fleeing the area possibly in a dark SUV or van. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
