Prince William County and the Town of Occoquan has agreed to are in talks to move the current Visitor’s Center, located at 200 Mill Street in Occoquan, into a nearby kiosk.

The town of Occoquan is celebrating 50 years. In commemoration of this milestone, Events and Community Development Director Julie Little asked vendors at the town’s annual craft show to make special items with the town’s name on them, so people could show their love.
OCCOQUAN —The fall segment of the Occoquan Arts and Crafts Show will take place Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It will be held rain or shine in downtown historic Occoquan.

The two new events come as the town’s annual spring craft show has steadily been losing money for the past six years. It’s one of two craft shows (spring and fall) that the town relies on to bring in tourists, and cash to town coffers to pay for capital projects.
From its high of about $54,000 in 2013, net revenue form the spring craft fair has dropped this year to $50,214. It was the final spring craft show for the town.
OCCOQUAN — The results are in from Occoquan’s Duck Splash, an event where a thousand rubber ducks are dumped into the river and retrieved by kayakers, on Saturday, June 8.
