Two Prince William fire and rescue stations are getting a makeover.

Station 17 in Montclair is getting its roof replaced, and Station 3 in Triangle is getting upgrades to its communication and technology equipment, according to Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue’s Deputy Chief Tim Keen.

Last year, Virginia tourism brought in $22.4 billion in revenue – $1.5 billion of it in taxes that went straight to the state and localities – and employed 213,000 residents.

But despite being one of Virginia’s top five industries, the tourism industry only received $27 million in funding, according to Virginia Hospitality & Travel Association (VHTA) President Eric Terry.

California Tortilla will celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, Aug. 11 and will offer free burritos and drink to its customers. The burrito giveaway will occur during the lunch and dinnertime hours on Tuesday.

Good morning Prince William – You can tell fall is right around the corner as Historic Manassas, Inc. is gearing up for two of their signature events. Volunteers are needed for their Bands, Brews & BBQ on September 12th and the Fall Jubilee on October 3rd. These are both super fun community events in Old Town Manassas. Micheal C. May won special election 2007 to serve on the Prince William County Board of Supervisors. 

He replaced Corey Stewart who went on to become the chairman of the board. During his time on the board, May has gained a reputation of being a moderate on the county’s governing board.
