Lidl US sent us this press release on their Dumfries grand opening:

On Wednesday, September 26, shoppers in the area will have the opportunity to experience Lidl when its newest location opens that day. Lidl’s Dumfries store, located at 16601 Dumfries Road, will open at 8:00 a.m., immediately following a ribbon cutting ceremony with Store Manager Kelly Simmons at 7:40 a.m. The new store will be Lidl’s eighth in the DC-area and will build on Lidl’s promise to deliver shoppers convenient access to high quality foods at the lowest possible prices.

From the Prince William police press release:

On August 19 at 2:00AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Minnieville Rd and Andorra Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a crash involving a motorcycle. The investigation revealed that the operator of a 2004 Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle was traveling westbound on Minnieville Rd when the rider lost control and struck a curb. The operator continued down the sidewalk before striking a guardrail and becoming separated from the motorcycle. The operator then struck a gate of a residence in the 13900 block of Andorra Dr.

From a press release regarding a townhouse fire that happened August 18th, 2018 at 9:47 p.m.:

The fire is under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office. The Red Cross was called to assist three residents who were displaced by the fire. Fire and Rescue units from OWL VFD, Dale City VFD, and PWC DF&R responded to the incident.

STAFFORD — The Stafford County Board of Supervisors met with Transurban to discuss the expansion of Interstate 95 E-ZPass Express Lanes.

The E-ZPass lanes will be extended to milepost 134, just prior to Route 17, extending it from where it ends now at exit 143, Garrisonville Road. Transurban, operators of the E-ZPass lanes on I-95 and 495 in Virginia, plans to provide all funding for the new project so none of the money, $277 million, will come from Virginia or Stafford County.

STAFFORD — The Stafford County School Board Chairman was asked to pass the gavel during a discussion on residential development and student redistricting.

During the Tuesday, August 12 meeting, School Board Member Irene Egan identified a possible conflict of interest with Chairman Patricia Healy, and asked Healy to step aside as chairman when the Board discusses redistricting.
