VDOT will be hosting a meeting, being called “Pardon Our Dust”, on Monday, March 3, to speak about the upcoming improvements to the Falmouth intersection in Stafford.
The improvements will cost $4.9 million in construction costs.

It happened Friday night at a business in the 14000 block of U.S. 1 near the intersection of Prince William Parkway.

Could things in Dumfries be looking up, literally?
“Lots of buildings are getting new tenants because of their height,” said Dumfries Councilman Charles Brewer. “Our boundaries are very little, and our land is very little, and the only one way we can really show any type of development is by going up.”
The 11-vehicle crash that happened on I-95 North yesterday morning is still being investigated by the Virginia State Police. The crash took place at 11:03 a.m. at the 144-mile marker in Stafford.
The accident happened when a tractor-trailor braked suddenly and swerved to avoid traffic congestion ahead. The driver of the tractor-trailer attempted to avoid hitting vehicles, and when driving between the center and left lanes, he sideswiped 10 vehicles before stopping.

There was a surprise for a little girl in the fifth grade at Antietam Elementary School in Lake Ridge on Thursday.
Lt. Commander Brian Harper returned home from Afghanistan to greet his 10-year-old daughters Isabella and 4-year old Grace during a school assembly. With her classmates watching, Isabella and her mother Shannon, welcomed the sailor with loving arms following his tour in the foreign country.
