Police arrested the Dumfries teenager and charged him with two counts of robbery, two counts of abduction and with one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, said police.

On Dec. 29, at 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy said three males approached them while at the AMC Theatres at Potomac Mills mall and then forced them into a theater, implied they had a weapon, and robbed the victims of cash.


A man walked into the pharmacy in the 13600 block of block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge on Dec. 17, implied he had a gun, and then demanded several medications. The man got away with about 1,000 pills, including Percocet and Dilaudid, valued at $5,400, said Prince William police.

James Ronald Bradford, Jr., of Melting Snow Place in Dumfries, is charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of schedule I and II narcotics, said police.

The latest burglary occurred between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning at the Ramoth Baptist Church in the 400 block of Ramoth Church Road. An employee of the church came to work Wednesday and noticed a laptop computer lying in the entrance way to her office, then saw the church had been burglarized, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

Four flatscreen TVs, several laptop computers, and a camera were taken from the church. Investigators said a window was kicked open which allowed the intruder access.

Stafford County, Va. — A wild police chase on U.S. 1 in Stafford County landed a wanted man in jail.

A Stafford sheriff’s deputy spotted a car speeding in a 35 mph zone near the county courthouse in Stafford at 2:09 p.m. Tuesday. The deputy stopped the car in the area of Va. 630 and U.S. 1, near the sheriff’s office, and spoke with the driver.


Police reported a shooting into a home in the 3000 block of Seminole Road off Antietam Road in Lake Ridge. Two homes were struck by bullets, but an investigation revealed shots were fired after the alleged gunman had a dispute with the owner, according to police.

No one was injured in the shootings, and police said new information obtained through their investigation led to an arrest.

At 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, Trooper K. Terry observed a black sedan, traveling southbound on Interstate 95 near the 156 mile marker, run off the right side of the road and strike the cement Jersey wall several times, and continue down the right shoulder. Trooper Terry activated his emergency lights and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver refused to stop for the trooper and a pursuit was initiated.

The suspect vehicle entered the southbound commercial vehicle weigh station and rest area at the 154 mile marker. It ran into a ditch and caught fire. As troopers responded to aid the driver, he brandished a weapon and aimed the handgun at the troopers. He finally complied with the troopers’ demands to put down the weapon and surrendered without further incident.


Police were called to the 4100 block of Wind Flower Court at 9:46 a.m. Friday to investigate when the victim told police her brakes had been tampered with. Unaware of the faulty brakes, the 23-year-old woman and her 2-year-old boy got into the car and started driving, but the brakes were unresponsive.

The woman was able to safely bring the car to a stop without damaging it, said police.


Police said the three victims, a 14-year-old girl and two 15-year-old males all from Woodbridge, were inside AMC Theaters Potomac Mills mall at 5:30 p.m. Thursday when three males walked up to them, two of them escorted the victims into the theater while a third acted as a look out, implied they had a gun, and then took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim, said police.

The men were said to be between 18 and 25-years-old, two were thin and one had a heavyset build, said police. All were seen wearing blue jeans and dark-colored sweatshirts.


He’s been dubbed the “Dapper Bandit” and is wanted for robbing several banks in New York City.

Law enforcement officials say 52-year-old Dana Connor is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 210 pounds with brown eyes, and believe he could live in Virginia and could have been traveling from the Washington area to New York City to rob the banks since September.
