WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A Prince William County elementary school teacher turned herself into police after being accused of not reporting sexual abuse among students.

The alleged abuse happened was reported to the teacher by her students at Marumsco Elementary School in Woodbridge on March 30, police documents state. That’s when two students independently came to the teacher and reported the alleged abuse following a “Hugs and Kisses” presentation, a play coproduced in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Social Services. The play focuses on avoiding and reporting inappropriate situations.

DUMFRIES, Va. — Three men are in custody after a man walking his dog was robbed at gunpoint in Williamstown.

Police said the robbery happened at 1:24 a.m. in the area of Williamstown Drive and Old Triangle Road in Dumfries. A car pulled up alongside the victim and two males armed with handguns got out and took the victim’s jacket and cell phone, then got back into the car and fled the area, according to police documents.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Jubair Ahmad, 24, a native of Pakistan and resident of Woodbridge, Va., was sentenced Friday to 144 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for providing material support to Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT), a designated foreign terrorist organization.

Neil H. MacBride, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; Lisa Monaco, Assistant Attorney General for National Security; and James W. McJunkin, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, made the announcement after sentencing by United States District Judge T. S. Ellis III.

LAKE RIDGE, Va. — Investigators are looking into an allegation that a 13-year-old boy was tied to a chair with a rope, beaten and abused.

Police said the abuse was reported Wednesday, and that the child was struck in the face, head, face, neck, and arms with a belt. At one point the child was tied to a chair and then to a stair handrail with an electrical cord and rope, according to police documents.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — After a Bank of America in Woodbridge was robbed Thursday afternoon, police quickly apprehended their suspect.

Bank employees told police a man walked into the bank at 13976 Jefferson Davis Highway at 1:36 p.m. and approached the counter, handed the teller a note demanding cash, and then implied he had a weapon but never displayed one. The teller handed over the cash and the man fled the scene, according to police documents.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Two men associated with the Underground Gangster Crips (UGC) set based in Fairfax County, Va., pled guilty today to their roles in running a prostitution business that recruited and trafficked high school girls.

Cuccinelli II, Attorney General of Virginia, Colonel David Rohrer, Fairfax County Chief of Police, and Ronald T. Hosko, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office Criminal Division, made the announcement.

STAFFORD, Va. — Two more juveniles have been charged in connection to a school bus fire in Stafford County.

According to fire officials in Stafford, Spotsylvania County fire marshal’s assisted in the investigation that brought charges of vandalism, unlawful entry, conspiracy to commit a felony, and destroying a school bus by fire against the two additional juveniles. Officials have not provided an age of the suspects or said if any of the three suspects in this case live in Stafford County.
