FROM POLICE REPORTS: 

Shooting Investigation – On August 10th at 5:53PM, police responded to the 16800 block of Taconic Cir in Dumfries (22026) for a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 19 year old man and a 16 year old male juvenile – both of Dumfries, had planned to meet up with a known acquaintance behind the Fortuna Center Plaza. There, the 16 year old victim got into a vehicle occupied by KELLEY and BRYANT. Once inside, KELLEY displayed a handgun and attempted to rob the victim. The 16 year old victim was able to get out of the vehicle, at which point both victims fled towards Stockbridge Dr. On Stockbridge Dr, the victims encountered a second vehicle, occupied byHALE and JACKSON, who were accomplices of KELLEY and BRYANT. During that encounter,JACKSON pointed a shotgun at the victims and fired, striking the 19 year old in the back and the 16 year old in the torso. Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Several detectives were assigned to this case and were quickly able to develop the identities of those involved. HALE and BRYANT were located leaving BRYANT’s address on Brightleaf Ct and were detained following a traffic stop. JACKSON and KELLEY were both located at their respective residences where search warrants were also executed. Following an investigation, all four suspects were arrested in regard this incident which was not random.

STAFFORD, Va. — Daniel Ringler, 19, was arraigned in Stafford County General District Court Thursday on charges of reckless driving, possession of alcohol and driving while intoxicated with a minor in the car – all misdemeanors. He appeared before the Honorable J. Ventura with his left arm in a sling underneath a mushroom-colored button down shirt.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Federal authorities searched the offices of Dr. Amir A. Bajoghli, a dermatologist who has offices in Stafford and Woodbridge.

The FBI’s Washington Field Office confirmed to the press on Friday Bajoghli’s office on Hospital Center Boulevard in Stafford, as well as Opitz Boulevard in Woodbridge, and two other offices in Tysons Corner and Washington, D.C. were searched.

Accidental Shooting Investigation *ARREST – On August 8th, after consultation with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau charged the accused in regard to the accidental shooting which occurred in the 14800 block of Empire St in Woodbridge from July 25. The investigation revealed that the accused, the victim’s step-father, had left a loaded handgun in another family member’s unsecured vehicle which was parked in front of the residence. The victim was able to get into the vehicle and found the handgun which accidentally discharged.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A woman was abducted and robbed at gunpoint Saturday at a Ponderosa restaurant.

The victim was at the restaurant at 591 Warrenton Road in the southern portion of Stafford County and was checking to make sure the doors had been locked. During her rounds between 9:50 and 10:10 p.m., a masked man walked into the restaurant, pointed a gun, and demanded she take him to where cash was kept, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

FROM POLICE REPORTS: 

Rape – On July 28th, detectives from the Special Victim’s Bureau responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 2900 block of Lexington Ct in Woodbridge (22193). The victim, a 22 year old woman of Great Falls, reported to police that she and a friend were visiting the accused, a known acquaintance, at his residence in the above area. The victim reported that she fell asleep and awoke to the accused assaulting her. The victim was able to get away and contact police. Following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested.
