DALE CITY, Va. — An employee at a pawn shop in Dale City was stabbed this afternoon during at attempted robbery.
Police reported the stabbing about 2 p.m. Thursday, and said it happened at Pawn City at 4124 Dale Boulevard.

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. – Stafford law enforcement just came into possession of several pounds of pot.
A sheriff’s deputy obtained information about a drug deal that was set to happen in the parking lot of North Stafford High School on Sunday evening. The deputy then went to the school and found the car matching the description of the one suspected in being involved in the drug deal, and the occupants inside were subsequently questioned and arrested, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

STAFFORD, Va. — Daniel Ringler, 19, the driver of the Toyota Scion that crashed last July while carrying three teenagers, is due to go to trial Tuesday, March 5 in Stafford County General District Court. He is charged with reckless driving, underage possession of alcohol, driving while intoxicated with a minor in the car and driving after illegal consumption of alcohol, which are all misdemeanors.
DUMFRIES, Va. — Could it be that he was denied the secret chicken recipe? Whatever the reason, police said a 16-year-old now faces charges after he threatened to bomb Triangle Fried Chicken in Dumfries.

A 27-year-old cab driver from Woodbridge is charged in the shooting of an Alexandria police officer on Wednesday.
The shooting stemmed from a traffic stop in Alexandria.
Prince William police said a man is charged in the robbery of a Burke and Herbert bank in Woodbridge last weekend.
The man was found in North Carolina, and he’s also wanted in connection to a crime in West Virginia.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — In what is proving to be a busy night for police in Woodbridge, a man was stabbed and a homeless shelter evacuated in two separate incidents.
Police said a man was stabbed on Belfry Road, which is in a neighborhood near the intersection of Smoketown and Minnieville roads about 9 p.m. Monday.

GAINESVILLE, Va. – It appears someone wanted to level up with a new gaming console, and used a knife to take the fun home for himself.
Two gaming systems were stolen yesterday from a GameStop store in Gainesville. Police said the man used a knife in the heist.
