DALE CITY, Va. — Three people who are all roommates and work together at a private security firm are now talking to police after two of them — a man and woman — were handcuffed and assaulted.

Police said the three people involved in this case live at a home in the 13600 block of Kingsman Road in Dale City, and that the male and female victims were handcuffed by their roommate after getting into an argument over something that happened at the workplace, according to police. The victim kicked the male victim while he was handcuffed, police added.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A woman working at loss prevention at Neiman Marcus store at Potomac Mills mall Sunday was sprayed in the face with pepper spray during a shoplifting incident.

The 54-year-old victim told police she saw another woman shoplifting and then confronted the suspect inside the store in an attempt to retrieve the stolen goods. The suspect then used pepper spray on the victim, causing the suspect to drop the goods on the floor. She picked them back up and make a break for the parking lot, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A man and woman were sexually assaulted in a Woodbridge hotel, police said.

Officers were called to the Wytestone Suites at 14525 Gideon Boulevard at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, where they found a 21-year-old man, and 21-year-old woman had both been victims of sex assault that took place inside a hotel room, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A Washington, D.C. man dropped his license and is now wanted in connection to a shoplifting case that involves two victims who were pepper sprayed.

The victims, a 32-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, were working as loss prevention officers at Saks 5th Avenue Off 5th at Potomac Mills mall when they saw a man shoplifting on July 4. The victims followed the suspect to a parking lot, confronted him, and were then hit in the face with pepper spray, police report.

STAFFORD, Va. — Shots were fired into a townhouse on Cummings Drive about 10:30 p.m. Friday.

No one was hurt, but the two people inside the house near the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said they heard what sounded like gunshots. They went to investigate and found what appeared to be two bullet holes in a shattered rear glass door, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — It appears someone is posing as the daughter of the owner of a house listed for rent in the Dumfries area, police said.

A Maryland woman responded to an ad on Craigslist on Saturday. She met with a woman who said she was the daughter of the owner of the house, and then the victim gave the stranger more than $1,700 — enough for the security deposit and first month’s rent, police said.
