Update 8 a.m. Sunday — The AMBER alert for missing 15-year-old Dustin Wade Shaver has been canceled. The teenager was found in North Carolina, according to Virginia State Police.

MANASSAS, Va. — A 17-year-old male accused of sending nude photos of himself to his 15-year-old girlfriend will not be prosecuted.
Trey Simms was accused of “sexting” in January and was charged with manufacturing and distributing child pornography. According to WRC-TV, police wanted to take additional photos of his penis, by force if necessary, to compare them with photos they already had.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Sheriff’s deputies tracked a woman suspected in a hit and run crash to her house and arrested her over the weekend.
The crash occurred at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of U.S. 17 and Banks Ford Parkway in Stafford County. A man told Stafford sheriff’s deputies that a car driven by a woman slammed into the rear of his car as he was coming to the stop at a signal light at the intersection, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police say a woman used her hands and a belt to beat a 14-year-old girl. Police said the suspect is a family member of the victim.

A total of 68 people were arrested and charged in connection with drug offenses during an operation Prince William police dubbed “dragon slayer.” Targeting the distribution of prescription medication and heroin use, detectives executed 13 search warrants and conducted searches at six additional locations.
