WOODBRIDGE,Va. — A bank at a busy shopping center at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Opitz Boulevard in Woodbridge was nearly robbed on Tuesday.
Police have a description of the suspect. Here’s who they’re looking for:
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Police spent last week rounding up suspects in a wide-reaching narcotics ring in Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park.
A total of 68 people were arrested and charged in connection with drug offenses during an operation Prince William police dubbed “dragon slayer.” Targeting the distribution of prescription medication and heroin use, detectives executed 13 search warrants and conducted searches at six additional locations.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A jogger said a man exposed himself to her in the area of Minnieville and Oak Farm roads in Woodbridge.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Four teenagers sitting in slow traffic on U.S. 1 thought it might be a good idea to stop off at a plant nursery.
But while they were there Stafford County law enforcement authorities said the four teenagers from neighboring Prince William County decided to steal a lawn ornament – a ceramic rabbit.
STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — When he started breaking things and taking off his clothes, police said that’s when the 911 caller picked up the phone.
A man was taken into custody about 6:15 a.m. Sunday outside a home on Mountain View Road in Stafford County. The suspect came to the house and began yelling frantically at those inside.
Prince William police reported the following arrests:
Strong Armed Robbery – On June 15th at 5:27PM, officers responded to the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was with the three juvenile acquaintances in the area above when one of the juveniles demanded the victim’s iPod. When the victim refused, one of the juveniles reached into his pocket and removed it. When the victim attempted to get the iPod back, another juvenile assaulted him before all three fled on foot. The victim was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to locate all three suspects. Following the investigation, all three juveniles were arrested.
UPDATED June 17 — Antonio Merrick was found safe, Prince William police said. The agency did not say where Merrick was found or provide any details about what led to his disappearance.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Christopher Lamar Carpenter is charged in the death of Barbara Naguitt, 53, of Woodbridge, a pedestrian who was walking along Opitz Boulevard in Woodbridge on June 2.
