DALE CITY, Va. – On August 27, someone told police that four children between 3- and 10-years-old were left alone during the day by the female suspect. According to the report, police discovered that the children would be left alone for long periods of time, leaving the eldest child in charge.

STAFFORD, Va. – On August 27, a 51-year-old man, originally from North Carolina, was hospitalized at Stafford Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries after being robbed at a Kangaroo Express on 34 Prosperity Lane in Stafford. 

Major David P. Decatur said that deputies went to the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel where the victim was staying at located on 3097 Jefferson Davis Highway. The victim said that he was involved in a fight as he was bleeding from multiple places on his face and body, said Decatur. Between 10 and 10:30 pm, the victim went to the Kangaroo Express to put air in his tires and upon putting money in the air machine, someone approached him and shouted at him to empty his pockets, said Decatur.

The City of Manassas Fire Marshal’s Office needs the public’s help with information about an incident on Aug. 11, 2014. At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 11, a resident in the 9600 block of Shannon Lane found a glass bottle on the front lawn of the residence. It appeared to be an incendiary device commonly known as a Molotov cocktail.

The glass bottle contained an unidentified liquid and a blue cloth, that was partially burned, inserted into the top of the bottle. Laboratory analysis is underway to remove fingerprints from the bottle, identify the liquid and the type ofcloth.


DALE CITY, Va. – On August 25, a 38-year-old man told police that while witnessing a fight between two men, he heard gunshots and a bullet strike the trunk of his car. According to the report, the men left the scene before police arrived and upon investigation, police discovered a shell casing on the road but no further damage or injuries.

DALE CITY, Va. – On August 23, a 911 caller told police that they heard several gun shots in the area and once police arrived, they discovered shell casings in front of an apartment complex. According to the report, police further discovered evidence possibly caused by stray bullets but there were no injuries, other damages to property, or suspects found.

DALE CITY, Va. – On August 24, 7-Eleven employees told police that two men entered the store and tried to steal two cases of beer. According to the report, an employee tried to stop them but was assaulted by the two men, one of whom said he had a knife. Police are seeking suspects.
