John Jones, a former Brigadier General with the Army National Guard and a Stafford resident, pled guilty today for his involvement in a contracting bribery scheme.
After retiring from the National Guard, Jones founded a company called the Military Personnel Services Corporation (MPSC).
Mark Milligan, 23, had spent a “couple months” in the Prince William County area, according to a Stafford sheriff’s spokesman.
Milligan was shot and killed outside Wings to Go just off Garrisonville Road in North Stafford on Sunday.
On February 14, officers responded to a robbery call at a Metro PCS location in Manassas. The suspect entered the business and showed a handgun to a store employee, demanding money.
Police K-9 units are still searching for the suspect, who fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Nibedita Mohanty, a 56-year old doctor from Stafford, pled guilty in court on Friday to several charges, including distribution of controlled substances and aiding and abetting health care fraud.
Mohanty, a former chief of medicine at Stafford Hospital, was arrested back in 2013 following a raid on her home.
One person was shot and killed and two others injured this afternoon outside Wings to Go in North Stafford.

Drivers passing by saw blood on the pavement outside a popular shopping destination in the days leading up to Christmas.
According to the Stafford sheriff’s office, two men were involved in road rage argument. The men got out of their cars, and one stabbed the other. A victim was taken to a local hospital.
Police in Manassas are searching for the person who robbed a convenience store in broad daylight.
A Hispanic female is wanted in relation to a robbery at the Bank of America on 8501 Sudley Road in Manassas this morning.

Attorneys are missing several key pieces of evidence, and that triggered a delay in the arraignment of 22-year-old John Nathaniel Sherwood.
Sherwood is charged in the murder of his 21-year-old wife Erica Renae Sherwood, of Triangle. She was killed during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day and leaves behind two children.
