Wesley Earl Phillips, a 20-year old Triangle man, has been arrested and charged with two counts of sexual battery by the Prince William County Police Department.

Detectives from the Prince William police’s Special Victims unit were called on February 13 to investigate reports of sexual battery at the PACE-East School on Joplin Road in Manassas, according to a Prince William police release.

The final 48-hours of Erica Renae Sherwood’s life were spent trying to get away from her husband, according to a friend who testified in court today.

Sharae Nicole Harris took the witness stand in a Prince William County courtroom to talk about the Erica Sherwood, the 21-year old victim, and her friend of more than 10 years, who was killed in Dale City on New Year’s Day.

Wossen Assaye, a prisoner that escaped from Inova Fairfax Hospital yesterday, made his initial court appearance today in Alexandria after being apprehended by Fairfax police.

Assaye, who was in police custody at the time of the escape in Fairfax, was originally arrested on federal charges of bank robbery, according to a release from U.S. Department of Justice.

On March 4, detectives from the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit received a call about a sexual assault that was reported on Lomond Drive in Manassas.

According to a Prince William police release, the incidences of sexual assault began back in 2010.

On Thursday afternoon, the Prince William fire and rescue department were on the scene at the Dale Forest Apartments complex in Woodbridge to investigate a possible HAZMAT situation.

The Prince William County HAZMAT, Prince William fire and rescue department, Virginia State Police Bomb Squad, and Prince William police and Fire Marshal’s office were all on scene after getting the report from maintenance workers at the complex, according to a fire and rescue release.

On March 17, Prince William police’s Crash Investigation unit responded to a call about a single vehicle crash near Graham Park Drive and Olde Port Lane in Triangle.

According to a Prince William police release, their investigation showed that the driver of the vehicle, a 2004 Nissan Maxima, was traveling on Graham Park Road at a high speed.

The Prince William County Police Department have made three arrests in relation to a shooting that took place on March 21 in Dumfries, and are still searching for another suspect that is considered armed and dangerous.

Prince William police responded to a call for shots fired on Saturday afternoon and arrived on the scene at Swans Creek Lane in Dumfries.
