Police made an arrest in the shooting death of Jamal Hakeem Ahmad Joseph Bryant, 21, of Woodbridge.

Dumfries Mayor Jerry Foreman is accused of stealing a campaign sign from a property in the town.
The twice-elected mayor was arrested Saturday afternoon. Vice-Mayor Willie J. Toney said the stolen campaign sign belonged to him.
Police said they found the body of 36-year-old Lizeth Lopez.
Her body was found this morning in Lake Ridge. Lopez, of Alexandria, was reported missing April 19.
The woman police said robbed a bank at the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Interstate 95 earlier this month is behind bars.
Armed Bank Robbery *ARREST – On April 27, Vicky Samantha FLORES turned herself into police without incident at the Adult Detention Center in Manassas. The accused was wanted in connection to a robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2867 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge on April 5.
Police want to know how a small Chihuahua-Pomeranian-mix ended up in a trash bag on the side of a road.
The animal was found on Friday by someone who called 911. The animal was taken to a shelter where it was later euthanize. (more…)
A suspect is wanted after firing several gunshots into a crowd, hitting a 12-year-old boy in his arm and lower body. According to report, the shots were fired during an argument between the victim, an acquaintance, and several of the victim’s friends. (more…)
