From Prince William police: 

Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation – On July 25 at 11:03PM, officers responded to the area of Emberdale Dr and Eileen Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 25-year-old man of Alexandria, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused picked up a knife and threw it at the victim striking him in the upper body. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. A responding officer located and detained the accused a short distance away without incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding – On July 25 at 3:38AM, officers responded to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 23-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun and demanded the victim walk to the rear of a nearby business. Once there, a third unknown man brandishing a handgun appeared and demanded money. At some point, one of the suspects struck the victim multiple times in the head causing him to lose consciousness. The victim eventually woke up when one of the suspects attempted to take off his shoes. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone, wallet, shoes, and money before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. The investigation continues.

Armed Robberies *ARREST – On July 20, Joseph Tyler KELLEY turned himself into police without incident at the Gar-Field in Woodbridge. The accused was wanted for two commercial robberies at an Exxon service station on June 8 and a Papa Johns on July 11.

From Prince William County Fire Marshal’s office: 

On July 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM, Fire Marshals responded to the 15200 block of Grist Mill Terrace in Woodbridge regarding an electrical hazard complaint in which a meter box had been jumped. Upon further assessment by Fire and Rescue, it was discovered that the meter circuit had been jumped by using two 4-gauge copper wires with welds holding it in place. This created a very dangerous situation with the potential of risk to nearby occupants. Further investigation revealed the suspect, John Anthony McClain.

Armed Robberies *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On July 15, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified the suspect involved in two commercial robberies in the Woodbridge area of the county. The suspect, identified as Joseph Tyler KELLEY of Woodbridge, has been connected to the July 11 robbery of the Papa Johns on Dale Blvd and the June 8 robbery of the Exxon service station on Quate Ln. In both cases, an undisclosed amount of money was taken. Detectives have since obtained arrest warrants for this suspect who has not been located.

Armed Robbery – On July 11 at 11:00PM, officers responded to the Papa Johns located at 4814 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store displaying a knife and demanding money. The man took an undisclosed amount of money then fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. The investigation continues.
