From Prince William police: 

Narcotics Investigation – On June 30, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded an investigation into the distribution of cocaine in the Woodbridge area (22193). Following the investigation, the accused was located and actively resisted arrest but was quickly detained without further incident. A search warrant was subsequently executed at the residence of the accused. Cocaine, money, and drug paraphernalia were recovered. The arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

Ronald Dorsey, Jr. was not a suspect following the disappearance and murder of Lizeth Lopez, 36, in April.

Lopez, an employee of Intercept Youth Services, Inc. — a private firm that provided housing and counseling for at-risk teens and adults inside Dominion Middle Ridge Apartments just off Smoketown Road in Lake Ridge, disappeared April 19. Her body was found 10 days later in a nearby sewer.

Ruth Anderson will hold a special town hall meeting tonight in the wake of two murders in her Occoquan Magisterial District.

Anderson said the deaths of 37-year-old Erica Hickson whose body was found Friday, and 36-year-old Lizeth Lopez whose body was found April 29, have been difficult for area residents to understand.

From Prince William police: 

Armed Robberies On August 7, officers and detectives with the Robbery Unit responded to investigate three separate robberies which occurred between 12:37AM and 2:06AM at 7-Eleven stores located at 14820 Cloverdale Dr, 15052 Cardinal Dr, and 1701 Featherstone Rd in the Woodbridge area. In each incident, employees reported to police that two unknown men entered the store brandishing a firearm and a silver bat. During the encounter, the suspects demanded money and cigarettes before fleeing the area possibly in a dark SUV or van. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

Fatal Crash Investigation – On August 5 at 6:30AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Sudley Rd and Coverstone Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a two vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2012 Toyota RAV4 was attempting to make a right turn onto southbound Sudley Rd from Coverstone Dr.

From Prince William police:

Lomond Dr in Manassas, detectives from the Homicide Unit and investigators from the Fire Marshals’ Office are investigating this incident as an arson-related double homicide. One of the victims has been positively identified as a 17 year old male juvenile of Manassas.
