From Prince William police: 

Sexual Assault Investigation On September 23, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 6-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, an acquaintance, on more than one occasion since 2013. The victim recently disclosed the assaults to a family member who contacted police. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Edgard Hernesto CRUZ. On September 27, CRUZ was located and arrested without incident leaving a residence in Woodbridge by members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force.

Fatal Crash Investigation *ARREST On September 27, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit obtained warrants for the driver of the 2006 Chevrolet Express Van involved in the fatal crash which occurred in the area of Bent Grass Dr and Waverly Farm Dr in Haymarket on September 23. The accused, identified as Norma Guadron CANALES, turned herself into police without incident at the Western District Station in Manassas later that afternoon.

Stafford County sheriff’s deputies tracked a man to a home on Friday where he jumped from a third-story window, and later hid in an attic, and then fell from the ceiling before being taken into custody, said Stafford sheriff’s spokeswoman MC Moncure.

On September 24, 2016, at approximately 11:00pm, Stafford County Deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the 300 block of Garrison Woods Drive. Dispatch advised patrol that a silhouetted subject was witnessed shooting one round from a gun. No further information was provided by the caller. Once on the scene, deputies began to investigate by making inquiries as well as searching the grounds of the apartment complex. While rounding the corner of Building 200 Deputies L.A. Burgess and B.M. Kanterman observed a man exiting the apartment complex via a wood line and trail where suspicious activity is known to occur. The man was quickly ordered to raise his hands and comply with a search of his person.

Attempted Malicious Wounding on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 21 at 6:36PM, officers responded to the Arby’s located at 13515 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a brandishing of a firearm. Employees reported to police that an unknown woman brandished what appeared to be a firearm at an employee while in the drive-through before driving away. A short time later, while officers were still speaking with the employees, the suspect, later identified as the accused, returned to the drive-through then drove away a second time. Officers followed the accused onto northbound Minnieville Rd, and attempted a vehicle stop. When the officers activated their lights and siren, the accused refused to stop. A short time later, the accused returned to her residence in her vehicle where officers were waiting. When officers challenged the accused, she exited the vehicle with the firearm and pointed it towards the officers. The accused then began to run into her residence when officers deployed a TASER which was not effective. The accused entered the residence and refused to exit after repeated commands. Following negotiations, the accused exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident. Further investigation revealed that the firearm used in the incident was a pellet gun. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Violation of a Protective Order | Wanted Subject –  The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a wanted person, identified as Antoine Duran TIMMONS. On September 14, TIMMONS was involved in an altercation with a family member at their residence located in the 2900 block of Seminole Rd in Woodbridge (22912). As a result of the incident, an emergency protective order was obtained against TIMMONS. Since the incident, TIMMONS has violated the order and attempted to contact the victim on several occasions. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of TIMMONS and attempts to located him have been unsuccessful.
