**CORRECTION**

Please see the below correction regarding the investigative update which was released on October 7. The surveillance images which were provided were from the armed robbery that occurred at the Ramada Inn in Triangle, not the Quality Inn as previously stated. Both robberies occurred during the early hours of September 27 and the same suspects are believed to be responsible for both incidents. From Prince William poilce: 

Malicious Wounding | Shooting Investigation – On October 4 at 10:49PM, officers responded to the 3800 block of Graham Park Rd in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 16-year-old male juvenile of Stafford, was walking in the above area with a friend when they were approached by an unknown male brandishing a handgun. During the encounter, the suspect assaulted both of the juveniles and a struggle ensued. At some point, the victim was shot in the arm by the suspect who then fled the area on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. The victim was flown to an area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation– On October 4 at 8:52AM, officers responded to the Prince William Community Health Center located at 4379 Ridgewood Center Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that as a patient at the practice was being escorted to a treatment area, he walked by a dentist working on another patient.

A Woodbridge man is wanted after a grand jury indicted him on two counts of fraud after a seven-month investigation in two states.

A woman on February 2 called the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office to report someone had fraudulently withdrawn more than $7,000 from her Bank of America account in two transactions, said Stafford sheriff’s spokeswoman MC Moncure.

From Prince William police: 

Felony Child Neglect | Felony Hit and Run | Eluding – On September 29 at 6:29PM, an officer attempted to conducted a vehicle stop in the area of the Caton Hill Rd and Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a traffic violation. When the officer activated his lights and sirens, the driver refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed onto northbound Minnieville Rd. Officers pursued the vehicle onto Telegraph Rd where the driver crashed into a guard rail causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A passenger of the vehicle, identified as a 17-year-old male juvenile of Woodbridge, remained at the vehicle and had minor injuries. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.

Felony Child Neglect *ARREST – On September 26, the suspect allegedly involved in a child neglect case which was reported to have occurred on August 12 was arrested without incident in Arundel County, Maryland. The accused was extradited back to Virginia on September 29.

From Prince William police: 

Residential Burglary – On September 30 at 9:52AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Knoll Top Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:40AM and 9:10AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. Entry is believed to have been made into the residence through an unsecured rear door. An iPad, two laptop computers, and a gaming console were reported missing.

Armed Robbery – On September 28 at 10:15PM, officers responded to the 14300 block of Crossing Pl in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 19-year-old woman of California, reported to police that she met an unknown man in Washington, D.C., then traveled back to the above area with him. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect took the victim’s cell phones, money, and purse then fled in a black vehicle. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
