Felony Child Neglect – On March 13 at 6:18 p.m., officers responded to the 12100 block of Cinnamon St in Woodbridge in reference to a found child. The caller reported to police that she located a young child walking around a parking lot unattended in the above area. Stafford, VA. On March 10, 2017, at 8:29 p.m., Deputy K.J. Simpson and Deputy S.P. Whitt responded to a 9-1-1 call from a residence on Poplar Road. The call had disconnected before deputies arrived on the scene. As is the routine practice, the deputies were outside interviewing the husband and wife about the circumstances that led to the call.
A short time later, an uninvolved male subject exited the residence and approached Deputy Simpson. As the male approached, he began using very explicit and abusive language toward law enforcement. (more…)

On March 7, 2017, at approximately 2:42 PM, Deputy G.P. Gabrielli made contact with a concerned citizen near Motel 6 on Warrenton Road. Deputy Gabrielli was advised that a female had been approached by an unknown male while walking to a nearby convenience store.
SNOW EMERGENCY
The City Manager has determined based on the current weather forecast that a snow emergency will be in effect for the City of Manassas Park from 6 pm, Monday March 13, 2017 until 6 pm, Tuesday March 14, 2017.
Caller reported, sometime during the night of March 8, 2017, while parked in the driveway of a Scott Drive address, persons unknown scratched a 2017 Kia Sportage, causing $200 damage. Investigation remains ongoing.

That may be true for retired Stafford County Sheriff Charlie Jett, who was spotted on Monday at the scene of a traffic stop.

Burglary — At approximately 9:35 p.m. on March 8, 2017, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9000 block of Portner Ave for a report of a burglary. The reporting party told officers that while sleeping on the second floor of the residence, several residents were awakened by a loud noise. When the residents walked downstairs, they observed two unknown males in dark clothes and masks who had broken in through a rear door and were inside the residence.
