From Prince William police: 

Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On March 31, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau identified the suspect involved in stabbing that occurred in the 7600 block of Somerset Crossing Dr in Gainesville on March 22. Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of this suspect, identified as James Bucky MCCLOUD. Attempts to MCCLOUD have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.

From Prince Willaim police: 

Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 4 at 11:30PM, an officer responded to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located at 2300 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to transport the accused to an area facility for a mental health evaluation. While being placed in the backseat of a police cruiser, the accused became agitated and bit an officer in the hand. The accused was eventually secured without further incident. Serious injuries were reported to the officer’s hand. Following the investigation, the accused was charged and subsequently arrested on March 31.

From Prince William police: 

Sexual Assault Investigation – On January 12, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in Haymarket (20169) sometime in 2010. The investigation revealed that the victim, then a 10-year-old female juvenile, was inappropriately touched by the accused, identified as a family member. The victim recently disclosed the incident to a counselor who contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on April 1 without incident.

From Prince William police: 

Armed Robbery – On March 31 at 10:15PM, officers responded to the 15700 block of London Pl in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 23-year-old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was in his driveway when he was approached from behind by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect struck the victim in the head with the handgun then demanded the victim’s property. The suspect took the victim’s wallet before fled the area on foot.  Minor injuries were reported. A police K9 was used to search the area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Over the past several weeks the number of larcenies from residential construction sites within the County has increased. Unsecured building materials are usually the target of quick-moving thieves. These incidents are most often taking place during the night.

The public is asked to be aware of any residential construction sites in your neighborhood. If you observe any activity at those locations, after standard construction hours, immediately alert the Sheriff’s office by dialing 9-1-1.

From Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:

On March 28, 2017, at  1:22 p.m., Deputy J.R. Scott was traveling southbound on Interstate 95 when he observed a gray Toyota Tundra maneuvering quickly between three lanes of heavy traffic. The driver of the Toyota was traveling at a high rate of speed and neglected to use his turn signal while changing lanes.

From Prince William police: 

Murder Investigation *ADDITIONAL SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED – Detectives from the Prince William County Homicide Unit have identified two additional suspects wanted in connection to the murder of Christian Alexander SOSA RIVAS. The victim’s body was located along the shoreline of the Potomac River on January 12, 2017. Additional information obtained in the ongoing investigation identified one of the suspects as 27-year old Dimas Misael CANALES SANTOS of Hyattsville, Maryland. The second suspect was identified as a 17-year-old male juvenile, also of Maryland. The juvenile suspect was located and arrested without incident on March 29 in Montgomery County by members of the Montgomery County Police Department. The juvenile suspect will be held in Maryland until he is extradited back to Virginia. The CANALES SANTOS suspect remains wanted and is being sought by police. Six other suspects, including a separate juvenile, were previously arrested in connection to this investigation.

From Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:

On March 25, 2017, at approximately 8:20 p.m., patrol deputies responded to an assault in-progress outside a residence on Cynthia’s Place. While en route, patrol units were informed that a male was assaulting a female in the parking lot and had pointed a handgun at her head.
