MANASSAS — A United Bank location in Manassas was robbed today.
A man walked into the financial center at 9626 Center Street at 1:27 p.m., implied he had a gun, and demanded cash.
WOODBRIDGE — Police are investigating a string of armed robberies that occurred Sunday and Monday in the Woodbridge area.
The robbers brandished firearms in each of the incidents. The description of the suspects in each a case is similar.
DUMFRIES — Police are investigating the burglary of a gas station in Dumfries.
Officers were called to the Valero gas station at 17315 Jefferson Davis Highway at 2:52 a.m. An alarm had been activated, triggering the police call.
STAFFORD — Authorities in Stafford County are searching for the man they say stabbed another man near the England Run Library.

DUMFRIES — Police are asking anyone with information on the crash that killed an Amtrak engineer to come forward.
James Henry Taylor IV, 47, of Fredericksburg, died after he was struck by a dark-colored sedan at mile post 152 on Interstate 95 in Dumfries.

WOODBRIDGE — More skimming devices have been found at gas pumps in Prince William County.
DUMFRIES — Dumfries residents have until September 3 to pay their unpaid parking tickets without facing additional fines.
An ordinance passed unanimously this month by the town council allows police to tow or install a boot on any vehicle that has three or more unpaid parking tickets. It also allows police to tow a vehicle or semi-trailer that has been idle for 10 days sitting private or public property, without the consent of the vehicle or property owner.

Strangulation | Brandishing a Firearm – On August 2 at 3:05 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 7000 block of Lakota Drive in Woodbridge to investigate an assault involving weapons. The investigation revealed the victim, a 31-year-old woman, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation, which escalated physically.
