Deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a man on Tuesday in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle from a residence in southern Stafford. On October 10, 2017 at approximately 12:22 a.m., a deputy responded to a call regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.

From Prince William County police:

Abduction | Domestic Related – On October 10 at 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Koval Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a possible abduction. The caller reported to police that she was on the phone with a family member, identified as a 44-year-old woman, who stated that the accused, an acquaintance, would not let her get out of a vehicle they were traveling in.

From police: 

Attempted Aggravated Sexual Battery – On October 8 at 5:49PM, officers responded to the Todos Supermarket located at 13950 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a sexual assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, an 8-year-old girl of Woodbridge, was sitting in a chair in the store while a parent was completing a transaction nearby when an unknown male sat down next to her. At some point during the encounter, the suspect pulled up the victim’s shirt and attempted to unbutton her pants. The victim screamed and ran to the parent as the suspect fled the store on foot. Upon further investigation, officers identified the suspect as Ricardo RODRIGUEZ and located him a short time later. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident. No injuries were reported.

After a month-long investigation led by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, an Orange County man was taken into custody this week, and 40 pounds of marijuana and 19 firearms were seized during a search of his residence.

From police: 

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On October 5 at 11:03PM, officers responded to the Liberty service station located at 3511 James Madison Hwy in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 55-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman both of Berrymill, reported to police that they were retrieving property from their vehicle which they had towed to the service station earlier that week. At some point, the business owner, later identified as the accused, arrived in his vehicle and became involved in a verbal altercation with the victims. During the encounter, the accused brandished a handgun and fired one round into the air. The victims fled the area and contacted police. When officers arrived and made contact with the accused, officers observed drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view in his vehicle. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident. No injuries or property damage were reported. A shell casing and two handguns were recovered.
