Multiple people walked into two Stafford County clinics suffering stab wounds a week ago, Stafford authorities told us today.
That prompted an investigation into what the sheriff’s office is calling a “serious stabbing.”

The 19-year-old is described as black, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds. He was last known to live in Virginia.

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) – On January 7 at 10:39PM, officers responded to the Sheetz located at 11774 Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a disorderly person. Several callers reported to police that an unknown man was inside the store assaulting citizens and ransacking the business. When officers arrived and made contact with the suspect inside of the store, they determined that the man was under the influence of a narcotic. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he resisted and a struggle ensued. Officers deployed a TASER and the accused was eventually subdued and detained with the assistance of multiple officers. The accused was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries then taken to the Adult Detention Center. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Stewart Lewis SKINNER, was charged.
Updated — Prince William County court records show a judge tossed out a robbery charge against [Redacted].
It was the same for [Redacted], for whom the court ordered his record expunged.

Malicious Wounding – On December 27 at 7:00PM, officers responded to investigate a stabbing that was reported to have occurred in the area of Stagestone Way and Adler Ln in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening at approximately 6:20PM. The investigation revealed the victim, a 17-year-old female, and a male acquaintance were involved in an altercation with the two accused suspects. During the encounter, the male suspect struck the victim multiple times with a baseball bat. At one point, the female accused pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim twice to the upper body. The male acquaintance was not injured. The parties eventually separated and the victim sought treatment at an area hospital where police were contacted. Following the investigation, both accused suspects, identified as William Alan GATES and Susan Elizabeth FINZEL, were arrested.

Fatal Crash Investigation – On December 28 at 6:55AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Hoadly Rd near Galveston Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a pedestrian involved crash. The investigation revealed the driver of a 2012 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Hoadly when the vehicle collided with a pedestrian, identified as an adult woman, who was attempting to cross Hoadly Rd between Galveston Ct and Apollo Dr. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where she died as a result of her injuries from the collision. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene. At the time of the collision, the pedestrian was not in a designated crosswalk. No charges have been placed at this time. The investigation continues.

At 11:31 a.m., Thursday (Dec. 28), Virginia State Police received a Be On the Look Out bulletin for an SUV that was possibly related to an ongoing criminal investigation in Stafford County. A state trooper spotted the suspect vehicle traveling north on Interstate 95 near the 137 mile marker and, with the assistance of a Stafford County Sheriff’s Deputy, attempted a traffic stop.
