Prince William police were involved in cases of malicious wounding, indecent exposure, threats to bodily harm and strangulation over the weekend. From the Prince William police report:

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On September 9 at 2:54AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Robert Ridge Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate a fight. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 53-year-old man, was attending a party at a residence in the above area when he was assaulted by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men struck the victim on the head with a glass bottle. Both of the men continued to assault the victim after he fell to the ground. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers identified one of the men and arrested him without incident at his residence later that morning. The investigation continues.

Additional Arrest Made in Connection with Homicide

On September 5, 2018, members of the U.S. Marshals Service apprehended a fourth suspect wanted in connection with the homicide that occurred on August 30. The suspect, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals at the border in McAllen, TX for the charge of conspiracy to commit robbery. This investigation remains on-going and additional charges are expected in this case.

From the Prince William police press release reporting cases of strangulation and brandishing a machete:

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On September 4 at 10:42PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4400 block of Daisy Reid Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 33-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused took the victim’s phone, which prevented her from contacting police. At some point during the argument, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and choked her. The parties eventually separated, and the victim fled the apartment before contacting police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Devin Edward THOMPSON, was arrested.

From the Prince William police report:

Attempted Armed Robbery – On September 3 at 5:16PM, officers responded to the WAWA located at 2051 Daniel Stuart Square in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 29-year-old man, reported to police that he was approached by an unknown male asking for money while he was standing outside of the business. When the victim refused, the suspect displayed some knives and threatened the victim. The victim went inside and notified an employee who contacted police. When the victim went back outside to confront the suspect again, a fight ensued before the suspect fled in a grey sedan. No property was reported missing. Minor injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

From Manassas police: 

On August 31 and September 1, 2018, detectives of the Manassas City Police Department identified and arrested three subjects in connection with the murder of Reynaldo Eliazar Araujo.  Terrance Tyrese Martin, an 18-year-old resident of Manassas, Ebelin Jojana Lopez, a 19-year-old resident of Manassas, and Seni JIMENEZ BLANCO, a 19-year-old resident of Manassas Park, have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in
