MANASSAS – (Press Release) On November 11 at 4:26AM, officers responded a residence located in the [Redacted] in Manassas (20112) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, an adult woman, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a rifle and threatened the victim. The victim left the home and got into her vehicle in the driveway. At that point, the accused pointed the rifle at the victim and then proceeded to strike the vehicle with the firearm multiple times. As the victim was pulling away from the home, the accused fired a round into the air. No injuries were reported. The victim went to a nearby fire station where police were contacted. The accused was located at his place of employment. Upon searching the vehicle belonging to the accused, the rifle and narcotics were located. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as [Redacted], was arrested.

MANASSAS – (Press Release) On November 5, 2018, the Manassas City Police Department began an investigation into an allegation of carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old female victim. The investigation revealed the suspect had inappropriate contact with the victim during the summer of 2018. The suspect, identified as Derek BRANCH, and the victim met at The Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas where the suspect is employed. On November 9, 2018, BRANCH was arrested and charged with carnal knowledge of a child. BRANCH is being held without bond and a court date is currently set for January 17, 2019.

STAFFORD – (Press Release) 3000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, 11/7, 5:16 a.m. Units responded to a reported breaking and entering in progress at an auto business. The caller was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot and observed a male subject exit the woods with a crow bar. He struck the rear glass door with it and disappeared back into the woods. He then reappeared, striking the door again—this time breaking it. The male then entered the shop for about two minutes before exiting. A K9 unit and the drone team responded to the scene, but were unable to locate the suspect. Nothing was out of place or missing from the shop. The investigation is ongoing.

 1175 Garrisonville Road, 11/4, 3:46 p.m. Two subjects steal food and drinks from convenience store on two occasions. Upon arrival, deputies located the suspects sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. The driver was identified as Taylor Perry, 18, of Stafford and the passenger as James Foster, 18, of Stafford. They admitted to stealing the items. Deputy Smith and his K9 partner, Lobo, also responded to the scene. The K9 alerted to a backpack behind the driver’s seat. A search of the vehicle and backpack revealed drug paraphernalia and a substance consistent with marijuana. Both suspects were issued summonses for possession of marijuana and petit larceny.

WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) Over a period of several months, the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office has been investigating a string of small arson fires at the Dominion Middle Ridge Apartments in Woodbridge. The joint investigation, with the Prince William County Police, involved other suspicious activities but focused on the arson fires. During the course of this investigation, and with the public’s and property management’s help, a suspect was developed. Besides identifying the suspect below, additional forensic work was conducted to help develop the case.

The suspect, Mr. Christopher Hope, was interviewed, and subsequently confessed his involvement. Mr. Hope is a current resident of the Dominion Middle Ridge Apartments where the fires occurred. Mr. Hope was arrested and charged for his role in the fires. The investigation continues and additional charges are pending.

Manassas – (Press Release) On November 7 at 10:15PM, officers responded to the area of Lomond Dr and Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a dispute between a taxi cab driver and a male customer. When officers arrived, the customer fled on foot. Officers pursued the man on foot who was eventually detained. The customer was identified as the accused who was wanted in connection to an assault of a PRTC bus driver that occurred in the area of Minnieville Rd and Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge on September 11. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Andre Jon RICHARDSON, was arrested.

WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) On November 6, detectives from the Homicide Unit identified and arrested a suspect in connection to the double homicide that occurred in the 16800 block of Brandy Moor Lp in Woodbridge (22191) on November 4. The investigation revealed that the suspects, who were identified as the accused and Israel GAMEZ Jr., made arrangements to meet the victims, Christopher Jermaine WILLIAMS and a fourth individual, identified as a 22-year-old man, in the above area to sell a pair of shoes. Sometime during that meeting, the suspects attempted to rob the victims. During the altercation, WILLIAMS and GAMEZ were shot and killed. At some point, the accused and the other victim left the vehicle and fled on foot. The accused was later identified by detectives in connection to planning for and being present during the robbery attempt. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Daunte Anthony MOTEN, was located and arrested without incident. The investigation continues. Additional charges are pending.

STAFFORD – (Press Release) An intoxicated driver was arrested early Saturday morning by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office for driving under the influence and felony eluding following a pursuit.

On November 3, 2018, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Deputy Brandon Boyle was on patrol in the area of 33 Wicomico Drive when he observed a vehicle repeatedly slowing down and speeding up over the speed limit. Then, at the intersection of Northampton Boulevard and Old Mineral Road, the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop at the stop sign.

WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) – On November 5 at 2:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of Chinkapin Oak Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary-in-progress. The investigation revealed that two masked men entered the residence and encountered the homeowner. At that point, the suspects fled on foot. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. No weapons were seen and no property was reported missing. The suspects were only described as black males wearing all dark colored clothing. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary | Violation of a Protective Order *ARREST – On November 1, the suspect, identified as Roger Melvin Sesso LASSITER, who was sought in connection to a domestic related burglary incident that occurred at a residence located in the 2900 block of Myrtlewood Dr in Dumfries on October 14, was arrested without incident.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY – (Press Release) On Friday, November 2nd, Prince William County Police and Fire Marshals were dispatched to 9500 block of Liberia Avenue in Manassas regarding a bomb threat. A suspect had called in a threat to workers who notified management.

Fire Marshals and County Police arrived on-scene and began conducting a thorough investigation of the incident. This included interviews in which a suspect was identified. A warrant for the suspect was obtained and executed by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
