STAFFORD — (Press Release) Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect in an online exchange gone wrong in the 200 block of Independence Drive. 

On Saturday, the Stafford Sheriff’s Office searching for the suspect behind robbery involving the social media app, Letgo. The victim told deputies he had arranged the sale of his headphones to a stranger through the Letgo app.

STAFFORD — County leaders in Stafford say there’s a loophole within Virginia State Code allows massage parlors to perform sex acts such as masturbation to paying customers known as a “happy ending” massages.

On Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors passed an ordinance making it illegal for massage parlors from performing these acts.

WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) On October 17 at 3:45PM, officers responded to investigate threats made towards police involving an individual residing in the 2900 block of Williamsburg Ct in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that a man, later identified as the accused, call the Prince William County Public Safety Communications Center to inquire about a family vehicle that was towed. During the conversation with the call taker, the accused made threats to harm the police officer who towed the vehicle, as well as, threats to burn the vehicle at the tow lot where it was being stored. Officers were able to identify the accused who was located at his residence in the above area and detained without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Richard Benard DENNEY, was arrested.

STAFFORD — (Press Release) The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the suspect behind a shooting into a residence that occurred last night at Arbor Grove Apartments.

On October 16, 2018, at approximately 10:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 1500 block of Providence Street in reference to reports of a bullet hole found in a residence.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY – (Press Release)  On October 16 at 9:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Ann Scarlet Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 50-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in the verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck before pulling out a knife and holding against her throat. When the victim attempted to scream for help, the accused covered her mouth. The accused then struck the victim numerous times before leaving the residence. The victim sustained injuries to her face. The accused was located and detained during an unrelated vehicle stop in the area of Blackburn Rd and Rippon Blvd. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kevin Lee HALL, was arrested.

STAFFORD – (Press Release) 9 South Gateway Drive. 10/10, 5:10 p.m. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance with a weapon at Wawa. The caller advised that he was in an accident with another vehicle and the driver had pointed a gun at him. Upon arrival, deputies learned from the victim that the driver had fled the scene shortly before they arrived. The victim said they collided while pulling out of Wawa. A verbal altercation ensued, and the suspect pulled out a gun and began waving it around, pointing it at the victim. The suspect was identified as Jayquon Powers-Brown, 21, of Fredericksburg. Deputies were able to contact the suspect who agreed to meet them at the Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with assault, brandishing a weapon, hit and run, driving without a license, and having no insurance. He was released on a $3000.00 unsecured bond.
