STAFFORD – (Press Release) A suspect was arrested on Friday night by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after drinking a small box of wine at Target and driving away from the store.

On March 1, 2019, at approximately 4:57 p.m., Sgt. Rakoczy conducted a traffic stop after observing a driver flick burning cigarette material out of the window while traveling southbound on Route 17.


STAFFORD – (Press Release) Multiple suspects were arrested early Sunday morning by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office following a disturbance at a local hotel.

On March 3, 2019, at approximately 1:34 a.m., 1st Sgt. Neuhard responded to reports of a fight in progress at the Clarion Inn located at 564 Warrenton Road. Upon arrival, he observed approximately one hundred people dispersing in the parking lot. He also observed Deputy Wright speaking with a male subject who was bleeding from his head.


WOODBRIDGE — (Press Release)  Murder Investigation – On March 3 at 12:39AM, officers responded to the area of Rippon Blvd. and Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting.

The investigation revealed that while in a nearby parking lot the victim and the suspect were engaged in an argument that escalated. During the encounter, a firearm was brandished and the victim was shot.

ALEXANDRIA – (Press Release) A former probation officer was sentenced today to nearly four years in prison for obstructing a federal grand jury investigation into armed drug traffickers and gang members.

According to court documents, Abass Conteh, 28, of Dumfries, served as a Virginia Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Officer working in Prince William County in 2017. As part of his duties, Conteh met with law enforcement officers and discussed ongoing criminal investigations, including with a Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) gang detective.

WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) On February 25 at 8:59 p.m., officers responded to Healthwise located within the Potomac Mills mall at 2700 Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge to investigate a fight with weapons.

The investigation revealed two employees, the accused and the victim, got into a verbal altercation, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim with a blunt object causing a minor laceration to the arm. The parties separated and police were contacted. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Xiantao Xu, was arrested.


MANASSAS — (Press Release) On February 27 at 9:09 p.m., officers responded to the Walmart located at 8386 Sudley Road in Manassas to investigate the report of a shooting.

Witnesses reported to police that two vehicles were in the parking lot when the occupants of one vehicle got out and approached the other vehicle, a Chevrolet SUV.


(Pince William police press release) Residential Burglary – On February 18 at 1:47 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 14000 block of Felty Pl. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate the report of a domestic with weapons.

The investigation revealed the accused, an acquaintance, entered the residence without permission while holding a blunt object. Officers responded and detained the accused without incident.

STAFFORD – (Press Release) Four suspects were arrested on Friday night by units with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after attempting to break into a residence using an ax.

On February 8, 2019, units responded to a reported domestic with a weapon at a residence located on the 500 block of Eskimo Hill Road. The caller told the Sheriff’s Office that she had been assaulted and several individuals were outside attempting to break into the house with an ax. The caller also said they had threatened to burn the house down.

STAFFORD – (Press Release) A wanted suspect was arrested on Thursday night by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after breaking into several local businesses.

On February 14, 2019, at approximately 11:38 p.m., Deputy Whitt responded to a business alarm at Vinny’s Italian Grill located at 397 Garrisonville Road. Upon arrival, the deputy observed that the glass pane on the front door was shattered. A review of surveillance camera footage revealed a subject in a dark colored jacket with a hood and wearing a mask and gloves breaking into the restaurant.
