Police are looking for a man they say pulled out a box cutter and used it during a fight on board an OmniRide bus.

Police were were called July 31, at 8:22 a.m to Prince William Parkway and Worth Avenue in Woodbridge to investigate a report of a fight on a bus. A 33-year-old victim told police that he and another man got into a fight, and then the the suspect used the box cutter to slice the victim’s leg before he ran off the bus.

A Virginia State Police trooper suffered minor injuries after his patrol car was rear-ended by another in Springfield early Friday, July 31.

Police stated that Trooper J. Kim was seated in his patrol vehicle and finishing up a crash investigation on Interstate 395 when a 2019 Jeep traveling south ran off the interstate and slammed into the back of the patrol car at 4:21 a.m., just north of Edsall Road.

A Dumfries man is now in police custody and charged with robbery following a two-month search.

The suspect was found at his home and taken into custody without a struggle on Tuesday, July 28. Banks was involved in a robbery at a Walmart at 17401 Jefferson Davis Highway near Dumfries, and were on the run until now, police said.


Cierra Dickerson, who was involved in the fatal car accident that resulted in the death of Deborah Lynn Talbot, will face trial February 8, 2021.

According to a press release from the Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Amy Ashworth, the suspect, Cierra Dickerson, 19, is charged with involuntary manslaughter under which carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a $2500 fine.

Police are searching for a man who assaulted a woman in Woodbridge.

Prince William police were called on Tuesday, July 28, at 12:44 p.m. to Potomac Ridge Apartments located at 2800 block of Woodmark Drive in Woodbridge. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, told police that she and a man were involved in an argument that escalated on July 12.

A man wanted in connection with a reported abduction and assault and battery is now in custody.

Paul Parker Gordon, 64, of 19142 Potomac Crest Drive in Triangle, was arrested on Thursday, July 23. Police had been searching for him since Monday, July 21, after he was charged following an assault on a woman at a home in the 4700 block of Kilbane Road in Dale City.

Charlie Davis III, 28, of Dumfries was stabbed to death outside of a Woodbridge night club early this morning.

Police were called to the Babylon Cafe at 3081 Golanski Boulevard at 2:13 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. They found the victim suffering stab wounds and then called for an ambulance to take him to a local hospital where he later died, police said.

Police said a man followed a woman to her vehicle and grabbed her by the arm so she couldn’t leave after they got into an escalating argument.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 21, at 7:53 p.m., when police arrived in response to a call reporting of a domestic problem. Police said that when they arrived at 4700 Block of Kilbane Road in Dale City, a woman, also the victim, told police that she and an acquaintance of hers were in an argument that escalated.
