The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of three people now charged with DUI.
The reports come as Virginia officials report a $117 million increase in liquor sales when compared to the same time last year.

Mine Road Commuter Lot, 8/31, 10:06 p.m. Deputy F.C. O’Neill observed a vehicle parked and running in the commuter lot. He approached the vehicle and noticed the driver was slumped over against the driver’s door with a half-empty wine bottle in her lap.
The occupants of a home in northern Stafford County got an unsuspected knock on the door from the Stafford sheriff’s office today.
Deputies were sent to a home near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Brentsmill Drive in the Widewater area.

The suspect in a series of carjackings in the Manassas area is now in custody. Prince William police said a man carjacked another vehicle in the Manassas area today and fled into Fairfax County where he was arrested. The arrest comes after a woman was carjacked in Prince William County yesterday while waiting for roadside assistance to fix a flat tire.
Police continue to seek leads on a case that involved a stabbing outside of a 7-Eleven store in Manassas.
