Someone is posing a Manassas City employee in an attempt to swindle cash from unsuspecting victims.
Manassas police tell us that on Friday, December 18, 2020 at approximately 5:54 p.m., were called to the 10200 block of Butternut Circle for report of a fraud.
A second person has died following a shooting in Landover, Maryland, on Dec. 12, according to Prince George’s County police.
A Dumfries man has died after he was shot multiple times by a police officer during a standoff at Four Seasons at Historic Virignia, a gated communtiy just off Route 234.

Police have one person in custody following a homicide on Saturday, November 30.
Felony Homicide Investigation *ARREST – On December 2, detectives with the Homicide Unit identified a suspect in connection to the shooting of Michael Bright ADOM that was reported to have occurred in the 4000 block of Westwind Drive in Dale City on November 29.
Police report a woman walking along Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge was nearly abducted tonight in the area of Interstate 95.
Investigators now want to talk with a driver who apparently honked a car horn, which triggered the would-be abductor to release the arm of the victim.
Prince William police tell us they had to pull two people apart — both whom were biting each other — inside a home in Woodbridge.
Malicious Wounding – On December 1 at 17:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13600 block of Grandview Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault.
Prince William police report a series of home burglaries in the county.
Residential Burglary – On November 30 at 1:30AM, officers responded to the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 14700 block of Deming Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 3:00PM on November 29 and 1:00AM on November 30. The investigation revealed that entry was attempted through the front door and eventually made through the unsecured rear door. A police K-9 searched the area for any suspects who were not located. No property was reported missing.
Five people were arrested on numerous charges following a traffic stop.
On Thursday, November 26 at 9:43 a.m., Deputy G.W. Gildea stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Warrenton Road.
Police were called to a report of shots fired inside a house.
On Wednesday, November 25 at 6:10 p.m, officers responded to the Rivergate Apartments located in the 13100 block of Marina Way in Woodbridge to investigate shots fired call.
