Cierra Dickerson appears in a Prince William County courtroom on July 1 to enter a plea after being charged in the racing death of a Woodbridge woman.

Dickerson is charged with the death of Deborah Lynn Talbot, who was walking her dog along Cardinal Drive on May 1, 2020. Police said Dickerson was racing her car when she struck and killed Talbot.

Death investigation

On May 4 at 7:02 p.m., officers responded to the 7400 block of Carver Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a report of a fight. When officers arrived, they encountered a man in a grassy area who was believed to be involved in the fight, and who also appeared to be under the influence.

Hit and Run 

On April 23, 2021, at 1:05 p.m., officers responded to the area of Liberia Avenue and Centreville Road for the report of a hit and run, involving an older model dark green Ford Explorer, occupied by two men that had struck several vehicles and then fled the scene.

Arrest made in Manassas area shooting

On April 30, the suspect sought in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred in the 8000 block of Coachcrest Court in the Coverstone neighborhood near Manassason on April 29, was arrested. The suspect, Joel Thomas Schrank, was taken into custody by members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department in West Virginia.

Detectives continue to investigate this week’s robbery of the SunTrust Bank on Prosperity Lane and request the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

On April 27 at 10:46 a.m., the Emergency Communications Center was notified by the alarm company for SunTrust Bank (40 Prosperity Lane) that a hold-up alarm had been activated. Deputies responded to the bank and were notified by dispatchers that an employee reported the business had been robbed.

Police arrested the fifth and final suspect in a fatal shooting that took place on the night of Friday, April 2, outside the Autobahn Speedway at Manassas Mall.

The suspect, Christian Starr Haynes, 24, of the 12100 block of Salemtown Drive in Woodbridge turned himself in to police without incident. He was held without bond.

Woman faces arson charge

At 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27th, units with Stafford County Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a home on Oak Drive near the intersection of Maple Drive for a reported structure fire in a townhouse. First arriving fire and rescue units arrived less the five minutes later to find Stafford County Sheriff’s Deputies already on the scene of a disturbance.

The Prince William County Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved in the shooting that occurred outside of Autobahn Speedway at Manassas Mall, at 8300 Sudley Road near Manassas, on Friday, April 2.

The announcement was made at a press conference yesterday.
