LAKE RIDGE, Va. — At 12:42am Friday, fire and rescue units responded to a report of a vehicle into a home 11972 Cotton Mill Drive in Lake Ridge. The first arriving fire engine reported that one vehicle was into the corner of the garage, and it appeared the garage slightly collapsed and was resting on the car.

All occupants of the house were uninjured. According to witnesses, the occupants of the vehicle fled immediately after the accident. There was no structural damage to the livable portion of the house. Once it was determined that there was not a life safety hazard, members from OWL Volunteer Fire Department Collapse Rescue Team put a temporary shore in place so the vehicle could be removed by a wrecker. Once the vehicle was removed, a permanent shore was put in place and the scene was turned over to the Building Inspector and Occupants. No occupants were displaced and damage is estimated at $50,000.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — The Woodbridge area has long harbored a reputation of having low home values, but this appears to be the year that changed.

According to varealestatetalk.com, the top home sales of the year so far in Prince William County have all been homes located in the eastern portion of the county. It’s a departure from years past when the highest valued homes were sold in developing neighborhoods in western Prince William County.
