After thunderstorms rolled through our region Friday night, there was quite the light show.
This photo was taken of storm cloud packed with lightning over North Stafford at 11:50 p.m., long after the thunderstorms that fired up earlier in the afternoon had rolled out.

It’s time for the year’s first outdoor festival in historic Downtown Manassas.
The 11th Annual Live Well Festival, will be held on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Harris Pavilion and along West Street. Health and wellness information, exercise classes, a farm-to-table brunch, paint class and more will be available.

Safe disposal of expired and unused prescription drugs can be a challenge. If residents have these, then they are encouraged to attend Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 29, at two locations, one in Haymarket and the other in Manassas.

The decision has been made in collaboration with other regional hospitals including Novant Health, Carolinas HealthCare System, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Cone Health, High Point Regional Health System and Randolph Health.
