WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Need a free flu shot? Just drive through.

The Virginia Department of Health will give 900 free flu shots to those who come to a drive-through clinic at the Prince William County Government Center between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. The shots will be administered in the parking lot in front of the McCoart Government Center at 1 County Complex Court in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A problem in Norfolk has found a solution in Prince William County.

The county’s Board of Supervisors on Tuesday passed an ordinance that will guide leaders on how eminent domain – the taking of private lands for a public purposes — is used.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Prince William County will bring back a numbers system to decide funding priorities for the fiscal 2014 budget.

Michelle Casciato with the county’s Office of Management and Budget told officials Tuesday her office use will a risk assessment system that will examine what programs and agencies are being funding now, how they relate to the core function of local government, and then assign each scores between four and 20.

DALE CITY, Va. — Neabsco District Supervisor John D. Jenkins will hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly constructed sidewalk across from Bel Air Elementary School, 14151 Ferndale Road in Dale City on Tuesday

Jenkins was joined by several key County officials to celebrate the opening of the sidewalk for students at Bel Air Elementary School.

WOODBRIGDE, Va. — On Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at 1:30 p.m., the public is invited to attend a ceremony commemorating the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony will be held on the County Complex at the County’s Liberty Memorial.

The ceremony will include brief comments by Board of County Supervisors Chairman Corey Stewart, the reading of the names of the County residents who were lost on that day, and placing flowers on the memorial fountain to honor and remember them.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — The Prince William County Human Rights Commission will meet on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. in the James J. McCoart Building. At the meeting, the Electoral Board will present information on the 2012 Presidential Election and some new guidelines that all voting citizens need to know before Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

The chairman of the Electoral Board, Keith Scarborough, and the board members will discuss four items – 1) are you registered to vote at your current address; 2) has your polling place been changed; 3) do you have an acceptable form of identification; and 4) do you qualify to vote absentee?
