DALE CITY, Va. — Some drinking water in Prince William County may soon have a slight chlorine taste and odor in the drinking water.
Virginia American Water will begin flushing hydrants on Monday as part of its annual pipeline flushing program. The flushing gets out mineral deposits and sediment from water mains, and it will continue through the end of May.
DALE CITY, Va. — A fire broke out this afternoon at a home 4032 Forge Drive, behind Forestdale Plaza and Cheshire Station shopping center.
Crews were called to the Forestdale neighborhood about 2 p.m. for the fire. Three people were inside when the blaze broke out but were able to escape the flames. A total of seven people – three adults and four children — were displaced, according to initial reports.

The body of man found alongside Interstate 95 in the morning hours of March 16 has been identified as 35-year-old Wuerlen Herrson Garoz Lopez, 35. He was a resident of a nearby homeless encampment.
Police are looking for one person who fled the scene of a traffic stop on foot in the Forrestdale section of Dale City.
A helicopter has been called to search for the person.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police uncovered some pot during a routine drug search at Woodbridge Senior High School.
One of the high school students – a 22-year-old – is still wanted.
DALE CITY, Va. — Two adults and three children were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation this morning.
Fire and rescue crews from the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department were called to a home in the 3200 block of Bradford Street, just off Birchdale Drive in Dale City, about 4 a.m.

Someone inside the school pulled a fire alarm prompting the fire and rescue response, said Prince William fire and rescue spokesman Curt Brodie.

With gumption, he spoke about economic equality and wiping out poverty, and the measure of a man.
