Michelle Davis-Younger spent her last night as mayor listening to other people tell her who she had been.

They called her Mayor Parks. She called herself Mrs. Parks. The city website still says Davis-Younger. The letter on file says she is done Wednesday, Sept. 30 — three months earlier than the December exit she announced in February, and two years short of the term she won in 2024.
